When you take a wander through the streets and alleyways of Cuba you’ll stumble over all kinds of types. An eclectic mix of serifs, non serifs, uppercase letters, bold outlines, tube lights, handmade letterings…at any time with a rhythmic ductus. Sometimes you can’t tell for how a long a certain logo is promoting the particular business or political intention. Rusty metal signs, peeled of murals or freshly painted – there’s always love in the detail.
For this project I extractred some types from the perspective in which I saw them. Enjoy.
